In January of 2018, Idaho Springs will serve as an international pilot project to take participants through a process to consider development sites and the impacts of different types of development in the well being effects of various development options. The workshop will also work to educate citizens and decision-makers on the link between urban planning decisions and the health of their communities and, therefore win public backing for projects. The workshop will engage Ontario’s Happy City consultants to consider the findings of the Urban3 land use economic study to assess potential sites for redevelopment focused on parking, with recommendations for shaping design and guidance for investment to address sociability, walkability, and community engagement.
Complimentary registration discounts available for Mountain Metro Association of Realtor members and residents or businesses of the City of Idaho Springs.
